BC Rail Framed 'Whistler Northwind' Art Print
In 2001, BC Rail introduced the Whistler Northwind, a luxury excursion train that ran between May and October, northbound from North Vancouver to Prince George or southbound from Prince George to Whistler. The train used several dome cars built by Colorado Railcar. The W/N was discontinued at the end of the 2002 season along with BC Rail's passenger service.
This is an extremely rare high quality stylized print of a painting of this short lived BC Rail Luxury Train commissioned for BC Rail. Below the painting features the W/N logo and the four towns of the W/N route. This hung in in the executive offices of BC Rail and was purchased during the sale of assets of BC Rail. Very nicely framed with wood and glass.
Photo #4 shows the actual train
Note: Print lighter than shown - needed to darken to pick up the type under painting.
Artist information from the back of the painting is included in Photo #3
